My healing process should take 8 weeks. I am scheduled to be in a wrap for 2 weeks, a cast for 3 weeks, and another cast for 3 weeks. My ankle should be realigned and it should alleviate the pain I have been feeling. It should restore up and down movement but side to side will be non-existant. It was that way before so that is not an issue.
After the casts are off, I will be in a boot with limited to no pressure on my foot. During this "adventure" I will be using a Knee Walker to get around. It is easier than crutches but more expensive. Renting it will be 65 dollars per month-probably not covered by that thing we call insurance.
